NBA & Gatorade Extend 40-Year Partnership, Deepen Playoff Presence
The NBA and Gatorade have renewed their iconic 40-year partnership for eight more years, expanding Gatorade’s sideline branding to all playoff and Finals games. The deal, negotiated in-house with PepsiCo, maintains Gatorade’s status as the NBA’s longest-standing marketing partner and reinforces its ties with the WNBA and G League.
This continued partnership also supports Gatorade’s sports science work with teams, retains its postgame and international presence, and keeps PepsiCo Foods—led by Ruffles—as the NBA’s official chip sponsor. From the inaugural Slam Dunk Contest in 1984 to iconic moments like Michael Jordan’s legendary 1988 dunk, Gatorade’s role in NBA history is deeply rooted. Now, it continues to fuel today’s stars including Luka Doncic, Caitlin Clark, and A’ja Wilson.
