Chicago Sky Partners with Moonshot to Combat Online Abuse

Chicago Sky Operating Chair Nadia Rawlinson is taking action to protect players from escalating online abuse through a partnership with cybersecurity firm Moonshot. The AI-powered system scans millions of posts across 25 platforms to detect threats, harassment, and stalking, with a particular focus on protecting high-profile players like Angel Reese. According to Moonshot, 92% of women in public life face online abuse—31% of which is sexual in nature—disproportionately targeting Black and queer women. The partnership’s first step is compiling a large-scale data set to identify and address these risks before they spill into real-life incidents.
